What is the deal with nitrox regs?

I just bought the a700 mk25 setup, and now looking for an octopus. There is a green scubapro-octopus that states you can use it with nitrox. I thought you could use all new regs with nitrox. Enlighten me!

Not all regs and not all EAN mixes. Regs made of titanium are a no no for example for the most part depending on who you talk to. Some say they're ok to 40%, others don't recommend it at all for anything over 21%. Personally, I'd rather be on the safe side of that fence and simply state they're a no no until categorically proved otherwise for up to 40% or at the very least they're EAN dedicated. For anything over 40%...nope. Not at all.
