Fundraising ideas for Scuba Team?

Hello and thank you for answering my question in advance. A few of my co-workers and I are just in the starting stages of getting a Water Rescue Team going, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. We have the local businesses for asking for donations, and a few ideas for fundraising (Scuba Day at the pool, raffles, etc). I know there are creative people out there, and I wanted to tap into other ideas. Cute ways to incorperate Scuba in fundraising. Or even places to go for grants and/or known place (like Walamrt) that donate. Please let me know. You will be helping alot of people with your ideas.

I would continue with what you are doing but also team up with a local dive shop that may also want to participate and share the exposure. Maybe have a treasure dive/picnic at a local dive site. If the scuba shop participates they can often get support from their manufacturers (dive rite, scuba pro, mares...) who can send T-shirts hats or even gear as prizes for the underwater treasure hunt. In addition the dive shop may have a mailing list or e-mail list of all their customers. Maybe also have a raffle so you can raise money and give out prizes.
